That's it! February issue of PIG is out with fabulous cover (shot by Lady Tarin) and with my (small) contribution inside. Among all the interviews, reviews, pieces of news and so on, you can find my shots of legendary DJ Sneak, Marco Mancuso from Digicult, publisher Edoardo Bonaspetti from Mousse, hat designer Federica Moretti, Miss Sixty's / Energie's Wichy Hassan, jewelery designer Simone El Rana and argentinan director Alexis Dos Santos. What is more issue no.79 marks (big word) my first fashion story (styled by Ilaria Norsa, wow!) To be sincere it was supposed to look different but I'm still happy that it's out (Luca, thank you so much for helping me out with it) New pictures are on their way. Woooooh!

That's it! PIG no.77 is out and it's a veeery big issue for me. Last month was pretty busy, but now, looking at the results, I can definitely say that it was worth all this effort. As I mentioned, in this issue you can check my coverage from NY Minute exhibition that includes photos (+couple of rapid questions-answers) of such great names as A-ron The Downtown Don, Patrick Griffin,  Ara Petrson, Aurel Schmidt, Tim Barber, Rafael de Cardenas, Benjamin Jonson and Evan Gruzis (It was such a pleasure to meet you all) I also photographed DFA's Yacht (just before their concert, which was a total blast!) and Alessio Aschieri  from Kaleidoscope magazine. What is more you can find my shot for New Era and and a 6 page story that we did for Nike. That's a lot and I can't complain.

This is Annie shot by Nacho Alegre on the cover of October issue of PIG magazine that has been out for a couple of days. Inside, as always a lot of nice content and good reading but what I dig most about this issue are three beautiful (fashion) editorials. We have Marlene Marino with super sensual story on twins from Tokyo, Ana Kras that introduces her friends in Belgrad and Mathias Sterner that goes wild in dark Swedish woods. Yes! I'm proud to announce 'the opening' of my sister's illustration blog. She is definitaly one of the most talented and hard working people I know and I am very happy that she has finally manged to put it togehter. I really believe she will be BIG one day. I would have never said that I would like that kind of music, but it has been over 2 months since I started listening to Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and I'm really into it. I even wouldn't know how to describe it well. I suppose  its real indie music, very spiritual, free, pure and super folk-flavored... just look to the live vids on youtube. My parents would like it, I think.

I went to Rome this weekend for the pre-openig (couldn't make it for the official opennig) of NY minute and I'm still so exited. Show is curated by Kathy Grason, that brought to Rome works of all her friend from the contemporary NY art scene and... it was probably the best exhibition I've ever seen. I mean just look of the list of the artist and imagine their works in one place. What is more I had pleasure to meet some of them and they're all don't give a damn about hype they had created  and just keeping it real (whatever it means :)
We will be publishing some pictures from the event in November issue of PIG MAG and before that, do not waste your time, grab Ryanair flight to Rome and go to the exhibition! It's proably one and only chance to see these pieces all together and in Europe. All details are here. (img via HB)

It's a very exiting mix of something dark, something magic and something new with spices that you've heard somewhere before, but don't know where and definitely not together.  Don't miss them on their world tour and under no circumstance don't miss their autoremix of Space Bass (Jamie xx's remix of The xx) Superb!

So, it's official. I will be  playing some records this Friday (07.08.09) at Jadłodajnia Filozoficzna in Warsaw. I'm not a DJ (and I won't pretend) so don't expect any mix / tricks or anything professional, just wide selection of music I have been listening to recently. I will be opening the night with rather easy stuff, mainly not too cluby (and will dance aftewords to the tunes of NJBRDZJ ( from Club Collab) and V/A team) Entrance is 5PLN before 11pm, and 10PLN afterwords. Come by!

Since I'm not that busy in these days I've started making up for the time and listening to the fresh music, and there has been loads of good CDs released recently.  Probably the best of it all is Tony Allen's 'Secret Agent' with its African vibes and soulful vocals. Then there are indie boys from  The Wave Picture with ' If you live it alone' As you probably know I'm not that fan of guitar music and if you find it here it should have said everything. Mungolian Jetset is taking me on the psychodelic journey with an unknown destination, and it's really exiting. After that I'm going back to Africa with juicy 'Bone of the Bones' by Ebony Bones. I have already heard this girl live (twice) and shot her during Sonar and can confirm that she is fire. Just to calm my down I put Lee Fields & The Expressions - My world' which is super classic soul disc- nice, smooth and elegant. Then the psycho journey starts again, the only difference is that Space Oddities vol.2 (out on Permanent Vacation) drives a bit slower. Warszafski Deszcz instead is taking me one time journey, I'm in 1999 again, but damn, why I'm not 15 any more...? And just to finish with happy end: Jack Penate - Everything is new, which is simply piece of solid pop music.

It seems that I will be playing some of this records (+ much more) on August 7th in Warsaw. More info coming soon.
